Taking about the quickest way to access Mustang is by Air flying from Kathmandu to Jomsom through regular flights, where Jomson is a major town in the Mustang district. After reaching at Jomson we can either trek or take a jeep ride to explore different parts of Mustang.
The ways to access to Mustang: 1) Road: You can also access Mustang by road. The journey often starts from Pokhara, a popular tourist destination in Nepal. From Pokhara, you can take a bus or hire a jeep to reach Jomsom. The road journey can be quite rough and takes longer compared to flying. 2) Trekking: Trekking is a common way to access Mustang, especially the Upper Mustang region. The trek offers a unique opportunity to experience the local culture, landscapes, and lifestyle. The trekking route typically follows the Annapurna Circuit before branching off towards Mustang. Permits are required for trekking in this region.

Muktinath Temple is located in the laps of Thorong-La mountain pass in Annapurna Conservation Area Project, Mustang District of Nepal at an altitude of 3710 meters above sea level. The word Muktinath (sanskrit name) is derived from “Mukti” and “Nath” which means “Salvation or Nirvana” and “God or Master” respectively. According to Hinduism, it is believed that the lord god Vishnu got salvation from the curse of Brinda — wife of Jalandhar in this place. Therefore, this temple holds the great significance for all the spiritual people in the south Asian sub-continent. This holy shrine is counted as one of the 51 Sakti Peetams and 105th Divya Desam among available 108.
Muktinath is also known for its natural hot springs. The juxtaposition of the steam rising from the warm waters against the cool mountain air creates a mystical and inviting ambiance.
